Who Is The Culture Coach?
Micha Mims, President & Owner of Valued, LLC., has a unique background loaded with over 10 years of coaching skill development, leadership, communication and culture within collegiate athletics, her Masters Degree in Business Administration with a Leadership Concentration, and a lifetime of of experience operationg within a team atmosphere.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Micha saw much success as a collegiate basketball player after spendering one year at WA native of Cedar Rapids, IA , Micha saw much success as a collegiate basketball player. After spending one year at Wayne State (Neb.) she transferred to Mount Mercy (Iowa) and enjoyed a decorated three-year career. She was a two-time first-team all-Midwest Collegiate Conference performer, three-time academic all-conference selection, and garnered two NAIA All-American honors. She has since been inducted into the Hall of Fame at George Washington High School and Mount Mercy University.
Micha graduated from Mount Mercy with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business Management and Business Marketing. She earned her Masters Degree in Business Administration with a Leadership Concentration at Southwest Minnesota State where she also began her collegiate coaching career as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Micha returned to her alma mater in 2016 as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach after serving as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Culver-Stockton (Mo.). She pivoted away from coaching basketball and realized the aspect she found most rewarding all along are in culture related areas.
As the President & Founder of Valued LLC., Micha has dedicated her coaching to organizational empowerment through effective leadership and communication, where she works to help individuals understand themselves and others through personal development, become better leaders to encourage openness, belonging and positive organizational culture. She is passionate in helping organizations dive into tough conversations and help provide a deeper understanding to the current culture in a way that brings growth and collaboration.
